Hi!
My name is Carolin Björkman. Me and my husband Fredrik lives in a small town called Alingsås in the southwest of Sweden, not far from Gothenburg. We live in a house in the country along with our dog and four beautiful Birmans. Fredrik is 32 years old and works as an IT-consultant in Gothenburg, I'm 26 years old and currently unemployed.
I have had Birmans all my life but my interest for breeding first started in the autumn of 2006, when we bought our first common Birman. It was a beautiful chocolate- point girl by the name S*Snömolnet's Ramona (Molly). After a few months we started to feel a bit sorry for Molly when she was alone all day when we were at work, so we decided to get her a friend. We found a gorgeous little guy by the name Petrus at Kai & Susanne Moen in Gothenburg, and in January 2007 he moved in with us. It was thanks to this guy we started to interest us for show, and in February 2007 we attended our first international show, and Petrus became BIS! not a bad start!
Our cattery's name, S*Eikefjord's, comes from my maiden name, Eikefjord, and was registered in the spring of 2007. In the summer of 2007 our first litter arrived and later the same summer we bought two new queens, Ebba and Nelly. This is how our little breeding started, we have plans to expand a little, but we still want to keep it rather small with a maximum of 3 litters/year.
We look forward to this year's plans and challenges.
